What is PageRank?
PageRank is a term used by Google to measure not only how many links point to a website, but also the "quality" of the sites providing the links. It is a family of algorithms for assigning numerical weightings to hyperlinked documents or web pages indexed by a search engine.
Alexa also uses a different algorithm to determine the site traffic and is popularly known as Alexa Rank.
